The Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium was packed Monday night as Canadian indie powerhouses Metric, Broken Social Scene, and Stars brought the All The Feelings Tour to Edmonton. The three celebrated bands shared the stage for an evening that celebrated decades of Canadian alternative music, proving their songs remain as powerful and relevant as ever.

Opening the night, Stars eased the audience in with their signature blend of dreamy indie pop, while Broken Social Scene followed with a sprawling, energetic set full of layered instrumentation and fan favourites. Their performances set the perfect tone before Metric took over the stage.

Broken Social Scene announced at the beginning of their set that their drummer had been in an accident the day before and they were going to “Wing It”. They did just that with some creative music technology adding a neat audience participation aspect.

Backed by guitarist Shaw, bassist Joshua Winstead, and drummer Joules Scott-Key, the band sounded as sharp and dynamic as ever, with the sold-out crowd singing along from the opening notes to the final encore.
